You Can Help Troops in Iraq

I'd like to highlight a post by Irene, FL:

"Hello, My husband deployed to Baghdad, Iraq on July 9th. He has been there a little over one month. He said that the temps in Baghdad have been hovering around 127 degrees. He also said: It's absolutely amazing what our young troops are doing over here and the impact they are having on the daily lives of Iraqi citizens. The little free time he gets, he has been volunteering with other dozens of soldiers to work with the Iraqi Scouts and they brought them food, water, training supplies, clothing, toys, etc, for which they were extremely grateful. He would really love to get mail, postcards, packages, magazines and/or anything he could share with the other soldiers or pass out to these small Iraqi kids (scouts). If anybody would like to adopt him and send some things his way, it would be greatly appreciated. My kids and I miss him dearly and pray for his safety. His name and address:

You can use the flat rate boxes from the Post Office and yes you need to fill out the Customs Declaration. He said anything will be appreciated, cards, magazines, movies, snacks, hard candy, bubble gum, toiletry items, batteries, games, footballs, basketballs, baseballs, card games, etc. Susan, yes they have electricity, microwaves, DVD players and some brought labtops. Thank you so much - I know he and everyone there will be thrilled!!!"
