Target Registers Now Auto-Adjusting Coupons..... Argh

Boo, hiss, so sad. Target registers are now auto-adjusting the value of coupons so you can't get overage. For example, in the past, if you used coupons and earned a Target gift card, the gift card often meant you made a profit. No more. For example:

Gillette Venus Olay Shave Gel $2.97 - buy 3
- $2 (PG 9/25) - use 3
- $5 Target gift card wyb 3
Old final price: 3 free + $2 profit
New final price: 3 free

Instead of giving you the full value of three $2 P&G coupons, the register will adjust their value so when the gift card is figured in, you can't make a profit.
My opinion -- Not fair! Target will get the full $2 coupon value from P&G, so Target now makes a profit on your transaction.
