Tomorrow is Political Day on Off Topic

As we start into the election year, please keep this in mind:

* Political Day is the last day of each month on
Off Topic Chat. Please save your posts until then. On other days, it doesn't work to start a post with "This isn't political" and then talk about a candidate. Some people hate political posts on Off Topic, so in deference to them, let's keep the posts confined to the last day.

* Your political post has to carry the same first name and last initial as is on your RC membership. Anonymous/fake name posts will not appear. In years past, when anonymous posts were allowed, the discussion could get mean and nasty.

* Please do not copy long blocks of text from other sources, or pass on unsubstantiated rumors. Opinions should be fact-based and informative.

* Instead of blind name-calling attacks on the candidates or other posters, please keep posts centered on facts and the candidates' stated positions. If someone doesn't like another poster's politics, that doesn't give permission to attack the intelligence or worth of a fellow RC member.
Debate is great; attack is not.
For example, it's fine to say "I don't like Hillary's (or Jeb's or Marco's or Bernie's etc) stand on immigration and here's why", but not "Hillary or Jeb or Marco or Bernie - etc - is a !)#&^@)(^%".

* The cut-off time for new posts and responses to older posts is midnight MST (2 am EST, 1 am CST, 11 pm PST)
