Amazon Local Sign Up

Sign up for a free account at Amazon Local to get deals for your town. Amazon Local is a group-buying site, and it's trying to give Groupon a run for their money. You'll get an email every few days with deals (or you can opt out of the email, but I like to get it.)
 

Amazon has a lot of clout, so it scores tons of deals for restaurants, entertainment, goods and services that are specific to your area. They also have online deals that are good everywhere.

One of the deals that I got a kick out of seeing (though I didn't buy it) was for a high-speed drive in a Ferrari or Lamborghini. That might make a great gift for just the right person's birthday.
