Starting Aug 5, there will be no more Saturday mail delivery by the US Postal Service. They will still deliver packages, and the post office will receive mail on Saturday. I don't see this as a big deal. If it saves $2 billion, it sounds okay to me. I don't know why they even have to deliver packages on Saturday. For 99.99% of things, it can wait until Monday.

I am wondering if the actual Post Office's will be open to be able to pick up certified letters, ship packages, buy stamps, etc. Sometimes Saturday's are the only days that many people who work 8 - 5 hours are able to get to the post office. If you have to pick up a certified letter, when would you be able to do it? My post office is only open until about noon on Saturdays as it is. Does anyone know?
