Kroger announced yesterday that they are stopping double coupons in the Cincinnati & Dayton area as of Mar 1. Boo-Hiss. Of course, they are giving the old line of "we will lower prices" (every chain in the past 35 years said the same thing) but it's doubtful that lowering prices a penny or two will make up for no double coupons. This is a sad day for couponers in Ohio.

Yes, it is indeed unfortunate.
Hopefully, the OH stores will reverse course in the future.
However, the economy of OH as a whole has been downhill for quite some time.

My mom is in Springfield, Ohio. I wonder if they will still be doubling or not. Her store triples low value coupons.
