Also, a reminder that it's almost the end of 2012. If you haven't gotten your free credit report from the 3 major credit companies in 2012, do it now: TransUnion, Experian, Equifax.
If you get both your score from CreditSesame, and a report from TransUnion, Experian, or Equifax, you'll have a complete picture of your credit situation.
It's very important to check once a year. Personally, we have been the victims of identity theft twice in the last 10 years and it's no fun. As a side note, our Costco membership has been transferred 3 times to an address in Washington state without our knowledge. The only way we figured it out was because we didn't get the coupon booklets for several months. It's a scary world out there.
