It's sad but true that RiteAid has tightened up on their coupon policy.
- You can no longer use a B1G1F coupon on a B1G1F sale to get 2 free. You can use one cents off coupon. So if Product X is on sale B1G1F, you can use a single .50 coupon on two Product X.
- You can use up to 4 identical coupons per item as long as there is enough stock to satisfy other customers.
My guess is this is a direct reaction to clearing the shelves by all the new Extreme Coupon converts. Actually the second rule is welcome, and four should be enough for most people. More shoppers will be able to get the deals. It's very sad to see the B1G1F rule change, especially when there is no financial reason for it. The manufacturer is the one who reimburses RiteAid for the cost of the item, so it makes no financial difference to RiteAid whether the money comes from P&G or the shopper's wallet. Again, this may simply be a way to put the brakes on the more aggressive coupon shoppers. Things have cooled down at RiteAid in the last month. The Ups rewards are still great, but the days of unlimited Ups on free items, and B1G1Fs is over.
