Finally: Walgreens Official Coupon Policy

Here it is, finally, after years of begging, the Official Walgreens Coupon Policy. Click here, then print for your file. There are good things here that will end arguments with checkers. We did it! I think we can take credit as the burr under the saddle that finally got them to write this up. Some of the lines are almost word-for-word what was sent to them in March. For example:

* Compare this one, which we sent:

When items are on sale Buy One Get One Free, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the final price does not go below zero for the cost of the two items.

To this one on their list:
When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.

I was very happy to see the rule about adjusting the value of the coupon if it exceeds the price of the item. This has caused countless problems in the past.... "No, you can't use the $5 coupon on a $4.99 item." Oh yes, you can! Just adjust the coupon.
