Free Lowe's Kids Build and Grow Workshops

Every other Saturday, Lowe's has free kids' Build and Grow workshops. The kids get a free kit to build something, along with an apron and certificate to take home. It's a nice program. You can sign up on-line or in-store, which is necessary because they generally fill up. Each session allows 50 kids and the slots go fast. The workshop coming this Saturday is called "Frankenstring Magic Trick", on Nov 7th it's "Garage" and on Nov 21st, it's "Snowman". The sessions run from 10am - 11am. Go to http://www.lowes.com/, click on 'How-To', then on 'Build and Grow'. Sign up and print the confirmation and parental permission slip.
Hint: If you don't sign up, or the session is full, but you want to try to get in anyway, go when it's almost over, about 10:45 am. They will give out the kits which were supposed to be for the no-shows.
