We have so few bees in our area that my huge cherry tree attracts almost no bees, and the thousands of blossoms go unpollinated = no cheeries. It's sad. I've even thought about getting a hive for my yard to help the fruit trees and my garden but I'm totally ignorant about being a beekeeper.

contact a beekeeper in your area to borrow a hive. Many farmers do this to pollinate crops.
