If you haven't joined Ebates, now is the time. There are lots of double plays on back-to-school shopping. If you buy things on-line, you should be going through Ebates for cash back. And you get a free $10 gift card after you accumulate $25 in purchases through any Ebates link. Nice!

Here's how. When you're ready to shop, go to Ebates and click on "Shop All Stores". Scroll down to Lands End (or any other store) and click to go to that store. You'll be transferred to Lands End and your purchase will be tracked. Use code TREAT and pin 1015 when you check out.
In a few weeks, the cash rebate will show up in your Ebates account. Checks are sent out every 3 months.

Suggested two websites, unclaimed.org (do not use .com--that site will charge you) and TreasuryHunt.gov, to locate unclaimed Savings Bonds that you bought or that were left to you, as a beneficiary. On unclaimed.org, after checking the regular options click on the tab "Other Sources of unclaimed property, for a wider range of options to search. These are both free sites. Author of, The Little Book of Missing Money, Mary Pitman, suggested everyone do this for themselves and family members every couple of years. And to check every state from the one you were born in and all others you lived in until today's date."
