Homemade Ice Cream Odyssey Plus Sobe...

Product DetailsIt's been since the Dark Ages that I've made homemade ice cream, even though I love it. All the hassle with the ice and rock salt was too much work. But I got the itch to eat
homemade ice cream as we sit out on the patio in the evenings. I went to Costco to buy a better ice cream maker, and happened upon the last Cuisinart on the shelf, which
was probably a return. The box said no ice or salt, so for $39.99, this was the one. It even came with an extra freezer bowl, which turned out to be the deal of the century. After I got it home and unpacked it, I was very impressed. You put the special bowl in the freezer for about 8-22 hours, until the liquid in the walls is frozen. Then you set it on the base, pour in your ice cream ingredients, turn it on and walk away. In 25 minutes you have 1 1/2 quarts of perfect homemade ice cream. It was super easy and goof-proof. I made a batch of chocolate and one of strawberry, which served 10, so about 5 servings per freezer bowl. Then I looked at the recipe book again, and found out you can use it to make slushies. You pour in 4 cups of your favorite juice, soda, etc., and 25 minutes later you have slushies for the kids. The reason I mention all this is because of the Sobe game
click here. You could pour a couple bottles of your favorite flavor of Sobe into a freezer bowl and have Sobe slushies. I'll let you know how it works after I try it .
