I Thought These Days Were Over
Go here to read about a woman in Grand
Rapids, MI, who was arrested on charges of
mail fraud for submitting 700 refunds
on beer, wine and liquor, with
counterfeit sales receipts. She faces 20
years in prison and a $250,000 fine. She
netted about $9,000 in payments over a 13
month period.
The article notes that 2 years ago in New
York a father and son were charged with
mailing 8,100 bogus receipts to collect
$65,000 in rebates.
Flash back to the 1990's. I guess a few
people didn't get the message.
