Kroger announced yesterday that they are stopping double coupons in the Cincinnati & Dayton area as of Mar 1. Boo-Hiss. Of course, they are giving the old line of "we will lower prices" (every chain in the past 35 years said the same thing) but it's doubtful that lowering prices a penny or two will make up for no double coupons. This is a sad day for couponers in Ohio.
Thanks for posting this consumer news!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is indeed unfortunate.
Hopefully, the OH stores will reverse course in the future.
However, the economy of OH as a whole has been downhill for quite some time.

My mom is in Springfield, Ohio. I wonder if they will still be doubling or not. Her store triples low value coupons.
